Lessons in Letting Go
So.......
I was on a roll.
A picture every day since November 4th.
My Project 365 an overall success.
It was something I took pride in.
Something that excited me.
Something that really, really meant something to me.
And then....
A pregnancy that knocked me on my butt.
I've struggled for the longest time.
Both with nausea, and in disappointing myself with my picture-a-day.
I tried to break through the yuck, and continue with what has become an obsession.
This blog.
These memories.
But alas.
I had to let go.
I continued to take pictures as often as possible through the end of September.
But even with those attempts I fell short.
Very short.
I was angry.
Upset.
Disappointed in myself.
And to this day I still feel like I'm going to regret missing a large chunk of mine and my family's lives.
But I've also learned a lot through letting go.
It's something I've never been good at doing.
But I have learned.
I have learned that it's okay.
I can start again.
I don't need to post those last pictures from 2010 that I did manage to take. And if I can...it'll just be icing on the cake.
I can give myself time to heal and feel better.
Life will go on.
And besides, there's only so many pictures you can take day in and day out when you rarely leave the walls of your home. Let alone the couch. For months on end.
It's okay.
It's okay.
It's okay.
January 1st will be a new day.
Day one.
A new goal.
See you then.
